Some Goals of Orthodox Youth Work…

  •  In short, the goal of Youth Ministry in the Orthodox Church is to nurture and develop Children, Youth and Young Adults in Orthodoxy
  • It is through our Youth Ministry Programs that we minister to God’s Children on behalf of the Church
  • The programs must be balanced in religious, social, and personal development of the participants…
  • Complete development is the ultimate goal

Having said this, let’s keep the following in mind:

  • Objective: What is the Goal of the activity/session/retreat, etc.
    • How will it affect the participants’ development?
    • Throughout the activity/discussion/etc. please keep the following in mind:
      • How will this help us grow in our personal lives
        • How can this affect our relationship with God?
        • How can we use this in our relationships with others
        • A challenge for participants to take with them.
          • Something tangible for participants to work on in the future

To help keep these things in mind, remember:

Inward  - Upward  - Outward - Onward
