Some Goals of Orthodox
Youth Work…
- In short, the goal of
Youth Ministry in the Orthodox Church is to nurture and develop Children, Youth
and Young Adults in Orthodoxy
- It is through our Youth
Ministry Programs that we minister to God’s Children on behalf of the Church
- The programs must be
balanced in religious, social, and personal development of the participants…
- Complete
development is the ultimate goal
Having said this, let’s keep the following in mind:
- Objective: What is the Goal of the activity/session/retreat, etc.
- How
will it affect the participants’ development?
- Throughout the activity/discussion/etc. please keep the following in mind:
- How will this help us grow in our personal lives
- How can this affect our relationship with God?
- How can we use this in our relationships with others
- A challenge for participants to take with them.
- Something
tangible for participants to work on in the future
To help keep
these things in mind, remember:
Inward - Upward - Outward - Onward
