Some Goals of Orthodox Christian
Youth Work...
The goal of Youth Ministry in the Orthodox Christian Church is
to nurture Children, Youth, and Young Adults
in their spiritual growth and development
It is through our Youth Ministry Programs that we minister to God's
Children on behalf of the Church
The programs must be balanced in religious, social, and personal
development of the participants. Complete development, (and
ultimately Salvation) is the ultimate goal
Keep the following in mind:
Objective: What is the Goal of the activity/session/retreat, etc?
Results: How will it affect the participants' development?
INWARD:
How will this help us grow in our lives both
personally and spiritually?
OUTWARD:
How can we use this in our relationships with others?
UPWARD:
How can this affect our relationship with God?
Onward:
A challenge for participants to take with them...
