Father George and Katina have four children: Nicholas, Constantine, Kaliana, and Victoria. Before going to seminary, Father George worked for Father George Scoulas as the Youth Ministry Director at Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church in Glenview, IL. After that, Father George and his family moved to Brookline, MA where they lived on campus at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. On May 9, 2004 Father George was ordained to the Holy Diaconate by His Eminence Metropolitan Isaiah in Denver, Colorado. After graduation (Master's of Divinity with Distinction from Holy Cross) Father George was ordained to the Holy Priesthood on June 27, 2004 and assigned to assist the Very Rev. Archimandrite Gabriel Karambis as Associate Pastor at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Houston, Texas. In July, 2006 Father George was assigned as the Proistamenos (Presiding Priest) of Saints Constantine and Helen by His Eminence Metropolitan Isaiah of Denver. The Gartelos family has enjoyed living in Colorado, California, Illinois, Massachusettes, and Texas. They feel especially blessed to have the opportunity to live and serve our Lord under the Western Skies of Wyoming.

We are blessed to have two retired priests living in Cheyenne. Father Dean Talagan and Father Peter Harrison both grew up in Cheyenne. Both Father Dean and Father Peter have served many communities for many years, including Saints Constantine and Helen. We pray God will grant them many more years of health to serve our Lord and His Holy Church.
